Cell-Tank Tech maxi with switch-module and Iluminant-module

The lamp sets wreck-maxi (wreck-maxi HID-gasdischarge)
and tech-maxi, have been specially designed and developed
to meet the tough requirements of modern technical diving.
The power pack and the lamp head are two separate modules connected
with a cable The units are particularly small and streamlined for easy
handling and optimum rig configuration.
The electrical connection between lamp head and power pack is a specially
welded, polyurethane cable, approx. 130cm (4 feet) in length.
Switch-Modul
The core of both lamps is the micro processor controlled switch.
The individual components of the switch-module are identical with those
of the power tube lamp mini and medi.
The lamps have been pressure tested in pressure chambers to equivalent
depths of over 500m (1650 feet).
- The magnetic plunger which controls the lamps is completely independent
of any mechanical connection to the inside of the housing.
- A hall sensor, senses the movement of the switch and the resulting
changes in a magnetic field.
- The micro processor receives these signals and converts the commands
into functional commands which change the brightness of the lamp to
either 50%, 75%, 100% or 125% of full capacity. The deeper the switch
is pressed, the brighter the light.
- Using controlled over voltage, the series HLX halogen bulbs can produce
more than 25% power above their normal rating.
- The lamp has a discharge protection which shuts the electronics down
when the cell voltage in each cell falls below 0.9V. thus protecting
the cells from long term damage.
- The lamp has a remaining burn time display and warns the user of the
imminent shut down by flashing the main lamp 3 times.
- Just before the lamp shuts down, it will blink continuously. If the
lamp is turned on to a lower power setting, it will return to a continuous
light.
- The switch can be used to send Morse messages, or an automatic SOS
Morse signal ( 3 x short, 3 x long, 3 x short) can be activated.
- The mechanical transport lock ensures maximum safety and security
when the lamp is not in use and/or in transit.
- After removing the front cover of the lamp head, the halogen bulb
is immediately accessible and can easily be replaced within seconds.
- The switch-modul have two M6 thread for mounting on helmets or
traditional hand grips (Goodman handle)

Illuminant-module:
Halogen-Illuminant
Halogen bulbs produce the complete spectrum of colours. The red tones
are particularly well produced.
The HLX-Halogen bulbs used in our lamps are filled with xenon
gas and are particularly effective in producing light. The bulbs have
a life expectancy of approx. 100 hours. The colour temperature is approx.
3500K.
Halogen bulbs are however commonly available on the household/DIY market.
These bulbs usually have a comparatively low effectiveness in producing
light but therefore have an extended life efficiency of approx. 2000
hours.
Our 50W HLX-Halogen bulbs, powered with controlled over voltage has
an equivalent light emmission to a 100W "DIY Bulb".

Halogen illuminant 3600K
Acceptable efficiency. Warm, red light with reduced penetration
properties but excellent red colour reproduction.
Coral, sponges or fish radiate a very rich red colour.
For divers who wish to use their lamp for optimum colour reproduction
in tropical waters

Switch-module with Illuminant-module LED
LED 69/7 (LED-R 69/7), LED 59/4, LED 48/1
|
LED-Illuminant
For the tech-light switch-module we offer interchangeable
LED-modules (beam characteristic: spot).
The functions of the lamp, such as power control, activation of the SOS
distress signal, and remaining burn time warning as well as total discharge
warning will be fully sustained.
The existing reflector unit is replaced by the appropriate LED module.
After removal of the halogen illuminant the electric contact is established
by plugging in an adapter plug into the socket.
The electronic is protected against reverse polarity of the adapter plug.
What are the advantages of an LED-light?
- An LED has an extremely long life span. It is considerably longer
than that of a halogen bulb.
- The LED is hard to break and very durable.
- The cold white (bluish) light of an LED is not as strongly absorbed
by the water as the warm white (reddish) light of a halogen bulb. Therefore,
underwater an LED light has a greater range.
- Due to the individual perception (only in dark environments!), cold
white LED light seems to be stronger than warm white halogen light .
What are the disadvantages of an LED-light?
- Fairly high costs of the LED and the necessary electronics.
- Bad rendition of the red colour.
Conclusion:
We recommend the use of an LED-illuminant for night dives in freshwater,
for dives in murky and cloudy water and for cave dives.
Despite a rather low power consumption of the LED modules, a sufficient
brightness and a considerable longer burn time is achieved.

LED-illuminant
6000K
High efficiency. Very cold, blue light with very good penetration
properties but a very poor imaging of red colours.
For example; the reproduction of red colours with a gas discharge iluminant
from Welch-Allyn (10/18/21/24W), is equivalent to the picture shown
on the left with LED illuminant.
Corals, sponges or fish take on a reddish-brown tint similar to that
of a house brick.

LED-R-illuminant
with
Red-Light-Compansation -NEW-
Good efficiency. Very cold, blue light with very good penetration
properties and a good red colour reproduction.
Coral, sponges or fish radiate a rich red colour.
The best choice for divers who do not exclusively divie in fresh water
and/or caves. The LED-R is available as a spot or a flood module for
the mini & maxi compact LCD and for the Tech Lamps (LED-R
69/7). .

Switch-module with 10W HID Illuminant
|
Gas-discharge (HID) -Illuminant
Because of the
mechanical sensitivity of the bulb no longer available
The lamp set wreck maxi gas discharge (HID) is
equipped with
a 10 watt gas discharge element complete with the necessary ignition
circuitry. The illumination produced from the element is equivalent
to a 30 watt halogen bulb.
The colour temperature of the element is 6000°K and compared to
a standard halogen bulb with 3500°K, it is a colder light.
The colour reproduction of red underwater, is therefore not as intensive
as a halogen bulb. The penetration of the high blue content light is
however extremely efficient and makes it ideal for fresh water diving
activities.
There is no power adjustment feature on these lamps.
The micro processor which has been especially
developed for this lamp, has a variety of monitoring and safety functions
which control the condition of the circuitry including:
-Stabilising the flow of current and the service voltage during the
entire operation.
-The gas discharge element can only be re-activated after at least 8
seconds of cooling down.
-The gas discharge element will only shut down after the minimum 8 second
warming-up phase is completed.
